Healthy Babies are Worth the Wait

Babies born between 37 and 39 weeks are “early term” infants and research shows their births often happen via elective labor induction. Elective labor induction is choosing when you have your baby instead of waiting for labor to start naturally. Sometimes parents or a health care provider will choose to induce labor early for non-emergencies, which puts your baby at risk. Labor should only be induced for medical reasons .

Don’t rush your baby’s birth day! Speak with your obstetrician-gynecologist if you have any questions.
